Intergenerational Learning (IGL) @ MGS
Who we are
Guided by our motto, “To Master, To Grow, To Serve”, Intergenerational
Learning at MGS fosters meaningful interactions between individuals of
different ages.
Intergenerational Learning at MGS recognises and celebrates the strengths
of every generation. By tapping on individuals’ unique gifts to co-create
shared experiences, intergenerational learning fosters empathy and mutual
respect across generations, shaping a more inclusive community where every
voice is valued.
What we do
When we talk about "generation," we often think about groups of people of similar age profiles or sharing age-related experiences or life transitions. At the same time, the word "generation" can also speak of creating or producing something new through the dynamic exchange of different perspectives and experiences.
IGL at MGS promotes lifelong learning and intergenerational understanding through a range of activities that fosters inter-generativity of ideas, perspectives, and purpose, enriching everyone and extending growth opportunities that transcend age and labels.
Intergenerational learning activities cut across a range of domains, including academic curricula, creative arts, physical wellness, recreation and community engagement.

When generations come together in sustained, meaningful ways to share
their talents, insights, stories and expertise, learning becomes truly
transformative.
IGL at MGS therefore aims to promote lifelong learning and intergenerational
understanding through a range of activities that foster inter-generativity
of ideas, perspectives, and purpose, enriching everyone and extending growth
opportunities that transcend age and labels.
